封面说明：西屯副云南鱼生活复原三维建模及渲染。西屯副云南鱼(Parayunnanolepis xitunensis)属于胴甲鱼类中较为原始的云南鱼类，其正型标本产自曲靖下泥盆统洛赫考夫阶西屯组(约4.1亿年前)，非常罕见地保存了从头至尾几乎完整的膜质骨骼和鳞列，为研究多数情况下无法保存的结构(例如腰带部位等)在最早有颌类中的演化提供了重要资料，也使得这种4.1亿年前小型鱼类的外形面貌能够被完整、准确地复原。详见本期朱幼安等人文(制作：拟石科技)
Cover image: The life restoration of the Parayunnanolepis xitunensis. The holotype of this fish, collected from the Xitun Formation (Lochkovian, Lower Devonian, ~410 million years ago) in Qujing, Yunnan, preserves the complete dermal skeleton head-to-tail, including the fin webs and squamation. MicroCT scanning of this remarkable fossil provides a rare chance to peek into the morphology of the previously unknown parts, such as the pelvic and anal regions.
