摘要： 文记述了一个采自江苏铜山的原臭触类头骨化石。根据铜山标本自身的特征以及与P.maeotica、 P. lartetii和P. alexejewi等相近类型的比较，我们认为它不同于目前已知的任何原臭鼬种，而是Iromephitis属中一新成员—P. maxima sp. nov.，其地质时代为上新世。
