王伴月,祁国琴

Abstract: The porcupine fossils from the Lufengpithecus site in Lufeng, Yunnan , were collected in the period from 1975 to 1983. They were preliminarily identified as Hystrix sp. (Qiu et al. , 1985). Further study of these fossils indicates that they represent a new species of Hystrix. All the specimens were collected from Lufengpithecus site, IVPP Loc. 75033, at Shihuiba, Lufeng, Yunnan.
