Abstract: In the present paper the anatomical characters and morphological variation of Lycoptera longicephalus found from western liaoning are reviewed. Lycoptera longicephalus Liu et al. 1963 is emended to Jinanichthys longicephalus (Liu et al.). Liaoxiichthys Su 1992 is considered as a synonym of Jinanichthys. The evolutionary trend and systematic position of Jinanichthys are discussed.

摘要： 本文对辽宁西部的长头狼鳍鱼的形态特征进行了补充和订正，记述了其形态变异，将长头狼鳍鱼(Lycoptera longicephalus Liu et al. 1963)厘订为长头吉南鱼(Jinanichthys longicephalus (Liu et al. 1963))，并认为辽西鱼属(Liooxiichthys)是吉南鱼属的同物异名，讨论了吉南鱼的分类位置和演化趋势。
