Abstract: Peng (1995) briefly reported a specimen (ZDM3403) of Schuanosuchus huidongensis Peng, 1995, a protosuchian from the purplish-red mudstone of the Late Jurassic Shangshaximiao Forrnation at Daquekou, the suburb of Zigong City. This material is the first occurrence of the protosuchian from the Late Jurassic in Sichuan Basin and the most well—preserved protosuchian fossil ever found in China. The present paper is a detailed description of it.

摘要： 详细记述了采自四川自贡上侏罗统上沙溪庙组的原鳄类—汇东四川鳄(Sichuanosuchus huidongensis Peng, 1995)，在此基础上对该种的特征作了补充修订。四川鳄与山东鳄的关系最为密切，它们很可能代表原鳄类晚期演化的一个独立分支。骨骼特征表明四川鳄是一种适应于水中生活的肉食性动物。
