Abstract: The junior author of the present paper happened to have purchased some isolated teeth from a Chinese medicine drug—store of the Dongxiang Nationality Autonomous County, which is situated about 70km southwest of Lanzhou, the capital city of the Gansu Province, in 1988. The fossils were reportedly unearthed from a village called Wangii. The teeth belong to only two form: an elasmothere, smaller and more primitive than the well known Sinotherium, and a Hipparion of very small size. It is highly probable that their geologic age is slightly earlier than the typical Baodean Mammal Age. Since the mammalian fossils of the pre—Baodean Hipparion fauna are seldom encountered in China, a short report is given below.

摘要： 汪集的板齿犀化石和周明镇1958年所定的“Sinotherium” simplum，在大小、齿冠高度和构造上都很接近，应归为同种。它们和Sinotherium的属型种，S. lagrelii，有明显的差别，而和Killgus于1923年所定的Parelasmotherium schansiense更为接近。笔者认为Parelasmotherium属应予恢复。“Sinotherium” simplum应该改称为Parelasmotherium simplum。汪集新发现的Hipparion dongxian
